The State-wide Training and Registration System (STARS) is no longer available for State-wide Training.
State employee training records including current class registrations have been migrated to the Human Resources Information System (H.R.I.S.) and are available for review by logging into YES. Registration for future classes is handled through YES. State employees will no longer use ERMA/STARS for training activities except as noted below.
Training records including current class registrations for non-State personnel have been left in ERMA/STARS and are available for review. Class registrations for the Department of Economic Security (DES), the Division of Emergency Management and Military Affairs (DEMA), and the Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) are handled through ERMA/STARS.

All State employees and other individuals registering for Emergency Management, Homeland Security, and Hazardous Materials courses will continue to register through ERMA/STARS.

The requirements for licensure include a jurisprudence examination on the Arizona Revised Statutes (Laws) and Arizona Administrative Code (Rules) governing dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants and denturists. In order to prepare for the examination, you should study two documents – Under Publications you will find Board Rules AND Board Laws available on line at www.azdentalboard.org
- The examination consists of 50 multiple choice questions
- It is closed book
- The applicant is allowed one hour to take the examination
- 76% or better is passing
- Examination fee $ 75.00 must be paid at the time of the exam in certified funds (cashier’s check or money order payable to ADOA – Human Resources). Cash is accepted in the exact amount of $75.00.
If you do not receive a passing score, you will be allowed to retake the exam. Each exam incurs the exam fee.
The Arizona Learning Center administers the examination by appointment only Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm in Suite 102 of the Department of Administration Building located at 100 N. 15th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) is revamping the AzGU/STARS application and has renamed it the Event Registration and Management Application (ERMA). ERMA/STARS is available for non-State personnel to register for classes offered by the Departtment of Economic Security, the Division of Emergency Management and Military Affairs, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal . State employees may register for classes offered by the the Division of Emergency Management and Military Affairs, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal only.
During our transition period you will see a combination of ERMA and STARS references on various web pages within the application. We appreciate your patience with us during this transition period. ERMA without STARS will be live on September 1st, 2009.
Non-State Personnel - Your training record for completed classes from the Department of Economic Security, the Division of Emergency Management and Military Affairs, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal are available in ERMA/STARS along with future classes taken. Your records will remain in ERMA/STARS.
ERMA/STARS is available for non-state personnel to register for classes offered by the Department of Economic Security, the Division of Emergency Management and Military Affairs, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal only.
Use your previously assigned EIN, however, your password has been changed. From the login page click on the Reset your password link and you will receive an email with a temporary password. Once you have the temporary password, from the login page click on the link to change your password and enter the temporary password as your current password.

State Employees - Your previous training record from AzGU/STARS will only be available through H.R.I.S. and will not be available through ERMA/STARS.
State employees may register for classes offered by the Division of Emergency Management and Military Affairs, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal through ERMA/STARS. DEMA and OSFM classes you complete in ERMA/STARS will be transferred to H.R.I.S.
